Ne var ki söyledik, gene söyleyelim.Cumhuriyet ağacının yaşaması a koca çınarların yaşaması, yüzyılların sürüp gitmesi gibi. İnsanların, yurttaşların güneşine, emeğine bağlıdır. Dikilen dal emek ister, bakım ister, sevgi ister. Cumhuriyet ağacı da bakım ister. Onu sevgilerimizle, emeklerimizle sulamalıyız. Değişim korusunun usta bahçıvanları, bakıcıları gibi, kuruyan ve eskiyen dallar, düşüncenin, ilerlemenin özentiyle budamalıyız. Yeni dallara yeni yapraklar katmalıyız. Ne de olsa, cumhuriyet ağacı yabanda yazıda, dağda doğada yalnız başına kalmış alıç ağaca değildir. Bir toplum ağacı, bir insan ağacıdır, bir milletin köklü ağacıdır.
